So I woke up after not such a good night's sleep, considered the options and went round to see a nearby hotel that was well-reviewed. The room is exactly twice the price of the Ransackers but a good deal better and bigger.
The move took most of the morning and lunch was a bit of a disappointment. What looked a nice vegetable dish turned out not so appetising. Just OK. It is quite hard to judge beforehand and there is much to be said for repeating one's business! Back to the Chinese in Carpenter Street I think this evening.
Along the Waterfront there is a festival taking place. Last night they were setting it up and told me it was for 'aimless youth'. I'm not sure this was quite right but it did seem the place for people to do gig and to display their hotted up cars.
The evening diversion was a parade by the Christian community which attracted large crowds and caused traffic chaos!
